Hold two fingers directly over your Control (Ctrl) and Alt keys. The way to clean this registry is simple and will generally 'cure' these problems! (You might want to write down a list of your personal options PRIOR to doing this, in other words!)Īpparently, as Paint Shop Pro (PSP) is used more and more, the registry 'builds up'-and problems start to occur (with tool bars disappearing, the active lines/'ants' disappearing, font issues, etc.). If you used Kevin's 'tip' to avoid loading the splash page every time, that would be gone. For example, if you changed your Standard Toolbar, you'll need to do it over again. IMPORTANT NOTE: This takes your software back to a 'brand new' stage (without the need to uninstall and reinstall)-which means any changes you've made to 'customize' PSP7 are lost. (Keep in mind that JASC is very candid about the fact that v7 has some bugs.) This should be done frequently-especially if you're having problems with the software. The following information was providedby a JASC Technician. (By the way, this file also gives you the option to select versions 8 & 9.) This probably won't solve every PSP7-related problem, but it's a good place to start! Once the entire process is complete, launch Paint Shop Pro.
Choose begin to remove the registry settings. Under Actions, add a checkmark next to Remove Registry keys.ħ.
From the Product Drop-down menu, choose Paint Shop Pro 7.Ħ. Once the utility has completed downloading, browse to the location of the file (just saved). (We recommend the Windows Desktop.) The name will be: ZapJasc.exeĤ. Save it to a location where you will be able to easily find the file. A window will open asking where you wish to save the file.
